Bob is skilled at quickly grasping the essentials of a business, identifying the human capital drivers in a firm, and creating ways to focus human assets on strategic objectives. He is an accomplished, senior Human Resources executive with broad strategic and tactical experience in major HR functions. Bob’s experience has exposed him to a variety of business profiles: medium and smaller-sized, privately-owned and publicly-traded, well-capitalized and highly-leveraged, union and non-union.
Bob demonstrates success at developing and implementing HR initiatives, policies, and practices that are tailored to accomplish specific, client needs. He brings to the Insight team specific strengths in benefits management, labor/employee relations, recruitment, training, organizational development, legal compliance, and safety, among others. Prior to joining Insight, Bob was Director of Human Resources for Novacel, Inc., a four-site, 400-employee, $113 million specialty manufacturing company. Previously, he served as Divisional Manager of Human Resources for Ivex Packaging Corporation, Manager of Human Resources for L&CP Corporation, and Personnel Manager for W. R. Grace and Company. Bob holds an M. B. A. from Babson College and a B. A. from the University of Vermont. He is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resource Management. He is a member of the Northeast Human Resources Association and the Society for Human Resources Management. Bob also serves on the Board of the Metro South/West Regional Employment Board.
