Supplemental Disability

Supplemental Disability InsuranceThe prospect of getting hurt and being out of work is scary.  While basic short and long term disability plans are meant to cover all employees, highest compensated employees are often left with huge shortfalls in the amount of disability insurance needed to protect their income and current lifestyle.  Employer sponsored group insurance has benefit maximums that often limit protection.

Insight Insurance offers Supplemental Disability Insurance that can fill the gaps left by most group disability plans.  Through our program, you can expect the following:

  • Purchase supplemental disability insurance at a significant discount compared to the individual marketplace
  • Purchase supplemental disability insurance, potentially with no medical exam required (or simplified underwriting) vs intensive underwriting in the individual marketplace
  • Provide an adequate monthly benefit in the event of a disability
  • Portable coverage that extends until normal retirement age even if basic employer sponsored insurance runs out or the employee leaves the business
